23-year-old arrested after two people injured in Eisenstadt

Two people were injured in a residential complex in Eisenstadt overnight from Saturday to Sunday, ORF reported. A 23-year-old man allegedly pushed a 78-year-old man to the ground before injuring a 20-year-old man with a knife.
The first incident occurred at about 2.27am in a corridor of the building. The 78-year-old was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police said a second incident involving the 23-year-old took place at about 4am. He allegedly threatened the 20-year-old and cut his thumb with a knife after the man refused to give him a cigarette.
The 23-year-old was arrested. Authorities issued a ban on entering and approaching the victims, as well as a weapons ban.
