Europark expansion reaches structural completion after 15-year dispute

The structural shell of the long-debated Europark expansion in Salzburg-Taxham is complete, ORF reported. Green politicians opposed the project for more than 15 years.

Disputes between the Spar retail group and the then conservative-green state government delayed the shopping centre’s expansion.

The project will create 6,000 square metres of leasable space for additional retail outlets, new restaurants and a children’s area, Europark managing director Christoph Andexlinger said.
