Woman injured when overtaking car crashes down embankment

A 35-year-old woman was injured in a crash on the Ossiacher Road in Carinthia on Sunday after her car touched another vehicle during an overtaking manoeuvre, ORF reported.
At about 12.20 p.m., the woman was driving from Steindorf towards Bodensdorf. As she overtook a car driven by a 35-year-old man, the vehicles collided. She then lost control, crossed onto the left side of the road and went over the roadside embankment. Her car overturned.
Emergency crews gave the woman first aid before taking her to Klagenfurt Hospital for further treatment. The 34-year-old passenger in the other car suffered severe shock and was also taken to the hospital by her husband. The driver was uninjured.
The woman’s car sustained substantial damage, while the other vehicle suffered minor damage. The volunteer fire brigades from Steindorf and Bodensdorf responded with 14 personnel and four vehicles.
