Strong storm gusts hit southern Burgenland on Friday evening, causing damage and around 30 fire brigade callouts, ORF reported. The districts of Jennersdorf and Güssing were particularly affected.
Firefighters had to remove fallen trees from roads and clear transport routes. Nobody was injured, according to the regional security centre.
The Burgenland fire brigades had already been called out on Thursday after a powerful thunderstorm cell, known as a supercell, moved across the Kittsee area in the Neusiedl am See district. It brought heavy rain and hurricane-force wind gusts to the town.
