Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries after overtaking crash

ORF reports that a 54-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after falling during an overtaking manoeuvre in Perlsdorf, a municipality in the Southeast Styria district, on Friday.

The man was travelling on the L273 from Gnas towards Paldau when he attempted to overtake a car driven by a 69-year-old. He apparently moved onto the opposite-side shoulder, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

The impact threw him into the right-hand ditch. After receiving first aid, he was taken to the LKH Oststeiermark hospital in Feldbach.
