Thieves steal three tractors in Oftering farm break-in

Thieves stole three tractors and several power tools from a farm in Oftering, in the Linz-Land district, overnight into Wednesday, ORF reported. Upper Austria’s State Criminal Police Office said the suspects removed the vehicles’ GPS trackers and left them at the scene.

Police believe at least four people broke into the farm between 12.45am and 1.45am. The thieves drove the tractors across a field to a farm road, where a semi-trailer was waiting. They loaded the vehicles onto it before leaving, and investigators lost track of them.

The State Criminal Police Office is leading the investigation. Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in Oftering that night to call 059133 443333. Authorities have not yet released further details about the tractors or the value of the stolen goods.
