Woman throws bricks into courtyard from Vienna rooftop

A 33-year-old woman prompted a deployment by police special unit WEGA in Vienna’s Wieden district on Tuesday after throwing objects around a stairwell, ORF reported.

Police said she damaged fire extinguishers and gained access to the roof of a building on Goldeggasse, from where she threw bricks into the courtyard. Officers brought her back into the stairwell.

Because she was considered a danger to herself or others, she was taken to hospital. She was reported on suspicion of property damage.
