Father finds screw in children’s Halloween chocolate bar

A father found a screw inside a chocolate bar collected by his children at Halloween in Linz-Ebelsberg, Upper Austria, ORF reported. No one was injured, and police have opened an investigation.

The 29-year-old was checking the sweets gathered by his eight- and four-year-old children after seeing a social media video warning about tampered Halloween treats. The origin of the chocolate bar and how the screw got inside it are not known.

Police advise people not to eat suspicious sweets. They should keep them with their packaging and report them to police, without removing any foreign objects, so possible evidence is preserved.
