Driver flees after car rolls while avoiding oncoming vehicle

A 24-year-old driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries after swerving to avoid an oncoming car on the B100, or Drautal Road, early Sunday, ORF reported. The other driver continued without stopping.

The crash happened at about 5 a.m. as the man from Spittal was travelling east. An unidentified vehicle approached in the opposite direction, using most of his lane. He swerved left to avoid a collision, left the road and his car overturned, coming to rest on its roof.

He freed himself from the vehicle and called emergency services. He was taken to Spittal an der Drau hospital. His car sustained extensive damage, and the investigation is ongoing.
