Fire crews battle house blaze near Wolfgangsee

A house was ablaze between Strobl and St Gilgen on Wolfgangsee on Friday, prompting a large-scale response from nearby fire brigades, ORF Salzburg reported.

About 120 emergency responders were at the scene. Dense smoke was visible from far away, including from the opposite shore of the lake. The building is near a summer toboggan run.

Firefighters were only able to tackle the blaze from outside, with an interior attack not yet possible.
