Intoxicated driver damages streetlight, truck hits detached wheel

A heavily intoxicated 37-year-old driver lost control of his car near Kühnsdorf early Wednesday, damaging concrete barriers and a streetlight, ORF reported.

The man was driving from Völkermarkt towards Kühnsdorf at about 3 a.m. when his car veered off to the right and struck the barriers. The crash tore off a rear wheel.

A 61-year-old truck driver following behind did not see the wheel in the dense fog and drove over it, damaging the truck. A breath test found the car driver was heavily intoxicated.
