Police expose fake Greek diplomats at Munich Airport

Two men posing as Greek diplomats were caught with professionally altered diplomatic passports at Munich Airport, BR reported.

The 28-year-olds arrived on a flight from Namibia and planned to continue to Greece, according to Germany’s Federal Police. They presented Greek diplomatic passports and said they worked as diplomats.

Officers noticed irregularities in the documents on Tuesday. Federal Police specialists examined the passports and confirmed they had been forged. The men then said they were Iraqi nationals and applied for asylum, police said. While their applications are considered, they were taken to the airport’s combined transit facility.
