A 62-year-old E-bike rider suffered a serious leg injury in a collision with a pedestrian in Graz on Tuesday, ORF reported. Traffic inspectors are asking witnesses to come forward.

The man was riding in a bus lane at Jakominiplatz in the Jakomini district at about 11.30 a.m. when an older woman, whose identity is not known, tried to cross the road. He could not stop in time and tried to swerve, but his handlebars caught the woman and he fell.

The two indicated that they were uninjured and did not exchange personal details. The rider continued on his way. After arriving at work, colleagues advised him to seek medical attention. A hospital examination found a serious leg injury, which he is believed to have sustained in the fall. A breath test at the hospital was negative.

Graz 1 Traffic Inspection is asking anyone who witnessed the collision or can identify the woman to call 059133 654110.
