Firefighters extinguish second blaze at Mitterpullendorf waste facility

Firefighters put out a fire at the Umweltdienst waste facility in Mitterpullendorf on Saturday morning, the second consecutive day they had been called there, ORF Burgenland reported.

The operation lasted less than half an hour. Nobody was injured. A fire had broken out at the facility on Friday.

There was another fire at the premises nearly two weeks ago, after batteries or rechargeable batteries reportedly ignited on their own. Plastic waste then caught fire.
