Police have identified two men from Villach district in connection with cannabis plantations in wooded areas, ORF Kärnten reported. The men, aged 22 and 39, admitted to the offences, and police seized about 1.8 kilograms of cannabis.

Investigators began looking into two plantations discovered over the summer in Föderlach, a locality in Villach district. Their inquiries led them to the two men.

Police also linked the 39-year-old to nine more plantations in forests within the city of Villach. At the men’s homes, officers seized about 1.8 kilograms of cannabis, a small amount of cannabis resin and various drug-related items.

Both men will be reported to the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office while remaining at liberty.
