South Tyrolean group HTI has become the sole owner of Polish snowmaking company Supersnow, ORF reported Monday.

Supersnow makes snow machines, lances and advanced snowmaking systems. It employs more than 120 people and recorded revenue of about 25 million euros last season, according to HTI. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

HTI said the acquisition would strengthen its presence in Eastern European and Asian markets and complement its snowmaking businesses Demaclenko and HKD. Supersnow also operates in Romania and Austria.

HTI said it aims to expand cooperation with Supersnow in the coming years and support the company’s strategic and infrastructure development projects in Eastern Europe, while continuing to advance engineering initiatives. HTI, based in Sterzing, owns the brands Leitner ropeways, Poma, Bartholet, Prinoth and Leitwind.
