Police search for missing French man in Linz

A 26-year-old French man has been missing in Linz since Oct. 5, ORF reported. Niels Perhirin left his home by bicycle that day and has not been heard from since, police said.

Perhirin, who relatives say has lived in Linz for about two years, was wearing a turquoise Patagonia jacket when he disappeared, according to the missing-person appeal.

His family has travelled to Upper Austria to help with the search. The French Embassy in Austria has been informed, and relatives say French and Austrian authorities have been contacted.

Police said they have no information about his whereabouts and asked anyone who has seen Perhirin or his bicycle to contact their nearest police station. The appeal is also being shared on social media.
