A children’s playgroup in Feldkirch has entered insolvency proceedings, with about 66,000 euros in liabilities and seven employees affected, ORF reported. The Regional Court of Feldkirch opened the case on Tuesday.
The proceedings were launched at the request of the association Spielgruppe Zottelbär, which is based on Hauptstraße. The association said it could no longer pay its debts because of its financial situation.
According to documents submitted by the association, 13 creditors are owed money, particularly the state of Vorarlberg and the city of Feldkirch. The playgroup stopped operating in August. The association had tried to reach an out-of-court settlement to avoid insolvency, the Alpine Creditors Association said.
Feldkirch lawyer Marco Fiel has been appointed insolvency administrator. Creditors can register claims until November 30. A claims examination and reporting hearing is scheduled for December 14 at the Regional Court of Feldkirch.
