Car plunges 10 metres into forest while yielding to timber truck

A car went about 10 metres over the edge of a narrow road and down a steep wooded slope in Zwischenwasser, Vorarlberg, on Monday afternoon, ORF Vorarlberg reported.

The driver was reversing uphill to make room for an oncoming timber truck when the car crossed the road’s edge. It came to rest upside down against a tree trunk. The driver appears to have freed himself from the wreckage; any injuries are not yet known.

Fire crews from Zwischenwasser and Rankweil used a crane to lift the car back onto the road.
