Feldkirchen orders residents to boil drinking water

Residents across the municipality of Feldkirchen have been told to boil drinking water before use after E. coli bacteria were detected in four samples, ORF reported.

The municipality said the water is currently not suitable for drinking. As it cannot rule out contamination in other parts of the supply, the precaution applies to all households until further notice.

The municipality is working to resolve the problem and restore water quality. The work could take several days.
