Police arrest Moldovan man over unpaid bills at 15 hotels

A 32-year-old Moldovan man suspected of leaving bills unpaid at 15 hotels in Austria was arrested in Bad Goisern, in Gmunden district, on September 25, ORF reported.

Since late August, he had travelled from one accommodation to another, staying overnight and consuming food and drinks without paying, police said. The case came to light after a hotelier reported him to police.

The man is also suspected of opportunistic thefts during his travels. Police found that he is wanted in Germany in connection with at least six similar offences. The investigation is continuing to establish the full extent of the alleged crimes.
