17-year-old moped rider seriously injured in car collision

A 17-year-old moped rider was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Gratwein-Straßengel, in the Graz-Umgebung district, on Sunday, ORF reported.

The teenager was turning from the L302 onto Kreuzstraße when he was hit by a car travelling straight ahead. The car was driven by a 77-year-old man from Graz.

After receiving first aid, the injured rider was taken to UKH Graz and then transferred to a children’s clinic, where he is receiving intensive care. A breath test on the car driver was negative.
