Sixty-three people had vaccinations added to their electronic records this year at state-run vaccination clinics in Dornbirn and Rankweil, ORF reported. A further 34 people paid 15 euros for a check to identify missing vaccinations.

The electronic vaccination record lets users view their vaccination history on a mobile phone. People can have their vaccination data entered and request a check at a doctor’s office or pharmacy, as well as at the state clinics.

The federal government is working on a system to remind people when booster vaccinations are due. Reminders are planned through an app or by text message, but no launch date has been announced. Vorarlberg’s state government says the system could help strengthen vaccination protection among the population.
