Police temporarily seize three cars after speeding offences

Police in Lower Austria temporarily seized three cars and the drivers’ licences after three men were caught speeding well above the limits on Wednesday, ORF reported.
On the A4 motorway near Bruck an der Leitha, a 39-year-old Slovak man was measured at 177 km/h in a 100 km/h zone at about 8:05 a.m. He was travelling towards Hungary. Police followed him and stopped him, according to the Lower Austrian State Police Directorate.
At about 5:20 p.m., a 69-year-old man from the Baden district was measured at 91 km/h in a 50 km/h zone in Enzesfeld-Lindabrunn. Later that evening, police stopped a 33-year-old man from the Tulln district travelling at 149 km/h in a 70 km/h zone on the B14 in the municipality of Klosterneuburg.
All three men were barred from continuing their journeys. Police temporarily confiscated their licences and vehicles and reported them to the responsible district administrative authority.
