Bankruptcy proceedings have been reopened against online dog-products retailer Wuff’s Best & Gizmo, which has liabilities of €2.5 million. The Lustenau-based company’s restructuring failed, ORF reported.
The Feldkirch Regional Court opened restructuring proceedings in February with liabilities of €2.5 million. The company then proposed a restructuring plan with a 20 percent repayment quota. The KSV1870 creditors’ association said the latest bankruptcy proceedings were opened at the company’s own request. The business is not expected to continue, and creditors may refile claims from the previous restructuring case.
Managing director and sole shareholder Daniela Müller told the Wirtschaftspresseagentur that, despite extensive efforts, she had been unable to secure financing as planned. Sales fell well short of expectations during the key summer months, and the company was unable to restock important products. Restrictions affecting key payment and sales channels further reduced its reach, completed orders and ability to sell existing stock.
