A 44-year-old woman injured two police officers during her arrest at a bank branch in Grieskirchen, Upper Austria, ORF reported. Both officers were treated in hospital.
Police were called to the branch on Tuesday afternoon after a customer began causing a disturbance. The woman had not calmed down when officers arrived, and attempts to de-escalate the situation failed. She then attacked them.
As officers handcuffed her, she bit both on the forearms and also bit one of them on the lower leg. The officers suffered serious injuries. The woman was also taken to hospital.
It was not immediately clear why she had caused the disturbance. Police had not initially said whether charges would be filed.
