Police dog leads rescuers to missing care-home resident

A police dog led rescuers to a missing 78-year-old care-home resident in Kitzbühel, who was found unharmed, ORF reported.

The man left the care home at about 2.30pm on Monday and did not return. Staff reported him missing at about 6.05pm, prompting a search in the town that initially found no trace of him.

A police dog named Ron joined the search and picked up the man’s scent in his room. Within minutes, Ron led rescuers about 1.5 kilometres to a garden near the Ache, where they found the man and returned him safely to care-home staff.
