Tina Hetfleisch won gold in the giant slalom and two silver medals at the junior grass-skiing world championships in Japan, ORF reported. The 20-year-old from Oberdorf also took silver in the slalom and super-G.
Hetfleisch said the championships were a special experience both athletically and personally. She did not reach the podium in the super-combined.
The medals capped a strong season after what Hetfleisch described as a difficult year. She had her best World Cup season to date, winning the small crystal globe. She finished second in the overall standings, 55 points short of the title.
Her junior world title was her first in three years and completed a set of gold, silver and bronze-equivalent success across three events, with giant-slalom gold a title she had not previously won.
