Thousands visit museums across Tirol during ORF’s Long Night
Thousands of people took part in ORF’s Long Night of Museums across Tirol, visiting more than 50 cultural institutions with a single ticket, ORF reported. The programme ran until midnight and included exhibitions and activities for children.
One of the most popular attractions was an exhibition at Innsbruck’s Hofburg palace, which presented Empress Sisi as an early media star.
At BTV Stadtforum Innsitu in Innsbruck, an exhibition featured portraits by photographer Rainer Hosch. His subjects have included international figures such as George Clooney, Lou Reed and Falco, as well as local sports stars from Tirol.
At the Kristallwelten venue in Wattens, visitors could see an exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s birth.
