About 20 crates of beer and lemonade fell from a trailer onto a road in Frastanz on Wednesday, ORF reported. The drinks were being taken to the Laternsertal for a post-wedding reception. No one was injured.
At about 4.45pm, two men were transporting the drinks when the load shifted after they had travelled nearly a kilometre and turned onto Göfner Straße. The shifting cargo forced open the trailer’s closed door, sending the crates onto the road and breaking numerous bottles.
Frastanz volunteer firefighters cleared the broken glass with brooms and shovels, while traffic was directed past the scene in alternating directions. The men returned to the brewery to replace or replenish the drinks for the wedding.
