A magnitude 1.9 earthquake was recorded near Hall in Tirol on Wednesday evening, with residents reporting shaking and rumbling, ORF reported, citing GeoSphere Austria’s earthquake service. No damage is expected at that strength.
The quake occurred at 6.16pm. Its epicentre was northeast of Hall, between the municipalities of Absam and Mils in Innsbruck-Land district. Some objects moved slightly, the earthquake service said.
GeoSphere Austria is asking residents to report the earthquake’s effects through its online form, the Quake Watch Austria app or by post.
