Ruefa to take over three Reisewelt branches in Salzburg

Ruefa will take over three Reisewelt travel agency branches in Salzburg, ORF reports. Two are in the provincial capital and one is in Zell am See.

The Salzburg branches changing operator are the travel agency near the airport, the branch on Schrannengasse and the one on Schlossplatz in Zell am See. Across Austria, the deal covers 31 locations and 170 jobs, all of which are expected to be retained.

The Verkehrsbüro Group, which includes Ruefa, said customers and existing bookings would not be affected. Reisewelt vouchers will remain valid.

The takeover still requires approval from Austria’s competition authority.
