Fair For Art Vienna returns to Künstlerhaus with 28 galleries

Fair For Art Vienna will bring 28 galleries and art dealers to Vienna’s Künstlerhaus from October 7 to 11, ORF reports. The fair, which describes itself as one of Austria’s leading events for 20th- and 21st-century art, will offer all works for sale.

The focus will be on modern and contemporary art, including oil and acrylic paintings, works on paper and sculpture. Artists represented will include Andy Warhol, Alex Katz and Helmut Ditsch, as well as Austrian artists Maria Lassnig, Xenia Hausner, Arik Brauer, Gottfried Helnwein, Hermann Nitsch and Erwin Wurm.

Exhibitors will present works on the upper floor of the Künstlerhaus. Organiser Horst Szaal said the building’s setting and rooms provide a fitting backdrop for the fair. Künstlerhaus Association president Tanja Prusnik said the event would bring galleries, artists, collectors and the wider public together.

The fair will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Künstlerhaus, Karlsplatz 5.
