UCHE YARA to play free FM4 concert in Linz
Austria Musician UCHE YARA will perform a free surprise concert in Linz on Thursday, FM4 reported. The concert will take place at the STADTWERKSTATT venue, with doors opening at 7.30 p.m.
No tickets are available, and admission will be on a first come, first served basis. Organisers recommend arriving early.
UCHE YARA, a singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, will also present her debut album, BODYSCANNER. The album combines influences from alternative pop, rhythm and blues and club sounds. She is also known as the live guitarist for the band Bilderbuch.
FM4’s surprise concerts are a long-running series in which the venue and performer are usually announced shortly before the show. Previous acts have included Wanda, Bilderbuch, Von Wegen Lisbeth and OSKA. Leftovers and HVOB are also expected to play secret FM4 concerts in Austria this autumn.
The concert series is part of FM4’s “Music from here” initiative, which places Austrian musicians at the centre of the broadcaster’s autumn programme. The initiative marks the 25th anniversary of FM4’s Soundpark and includes special broadcasts, live sessions and reports on Austria’s music scene. FM4 also plans to play only music from Austria for 24 hours on the national holiday.
