Salzburg outdoor pools set new visitor record

Salzburg’s three municipal outdoor pools recorded 246,957 visits this season, a new record, ORF reported Monday. The AYA outdoor pool will remain open for now.
From the season opening on April 17 through September 20, the AYA pool, Volksgarten outdoor pool and Leopoldskron outdoor pool recorded a total of 246,957 visits, according to figures released by the city.
The Leopoldskron pool, known as “Lepi,” was the most popular, with 140,221 visits. The Volksgarten pool recorded 58,195 visits and the AYA pool 48,541.
The total was well above the 177,541 visits recorded during the same period in 2025 and the 207,741 recorded in 2024.
The AYA pool will remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice because of the favourable weather forecast.
