Six-year-old suffers serious burns after hot oil spills

A six-year-old boy suffered serious burns when hot oil spilled from a gas cooker in Schwaz on Sunday, ORF reported. He was taken to a clinic in Innsbruck with injuries of unspecified severity.

The accident happened at about 1 p.m. The boy was trying to retrieve an object from under a table holding the cooker when he caught his foot on the gas hose.

The movement caused the hot oil to spill over him. Emergency services took him to the Innsbruck clinic.
