Fire damages roof of Goldwörth home as four fire brigades respond

Fire broke out in the roof area of a residential building in Goldwörth, in the Urfahr-Umgebung district, on Sunday afternoon, ORF reported. The tenants were not at home when neighbours noticed the flames and alerted the fire service.

Fire brigades from Goldwörth, Mühldorf, Ottensheim and Walding were called out shortly after 2pm. When the Goldwörth brigade arrived, the roof area was already ablaze.

A team wearing breathing apparatus entered the building to tackle the fire, while firefighters also worked from outside. The Walding brigade provided a telescopic mast platform.

The fire was declared extinguished at about 4.30pm after around two hours. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation.
