Postfinance outage made accounts appear empty

Postfinance customers briefly saw balances of zero francs in online banking, SRF reported. The display error affected numerous customers for about two hours.

Postfinance resolved the problem shortly before 2:30 p.m. and said the money had remained safe and in the accounts throughout.

“It was a display error,” a Postfinance spokesperson told the Keystone-SDA news agency after Blick first reported the disruption.

The institution said it had worked intensively to fix the problem and apologised to customers.
