Sisters welcome daughters just 86 minutes apart

Two sisters gave birth to daughters within one hour and 26 minutes of each other at University Hospital Krems, ORF reported. The births took place on the same day and added several further date coincidences to the family’s story.

The newborns, Naomi and Elvira-Ioana, share almost identical measurements. Both are 55 centimetres long and weigh just over four kilograms.

Florina-Victoria Vaida, Elvira-Ioana’s mother, was able to take her daughter home on the birthday of her older son. “There could hardly have been a nicer present for him,” said the mother of three.

Her sister, Dorina-Adriana Vizitiu, gave birth to her ninth child on her 16th wedding anniversary.

All nine of the family’s children were born at University Hospital Krems. Both families said they had always felt well cared for there and praised the smooth procedures and warm treatment.
