Two injured in motorcycle crash in Carinthia

Two motorcyclists were injured in a collision on the Weissensee road near Weißbriach in the Hermagor district on Sunday, ORF reported.

A 68 year old man from Tyrol was riding uphill from Weißbriach when he entered the oncoming lane on a bend at Kreuzberg for reasons that remain unclear, according to police. His motorcycle collided with one ridden by a 58 year old woman.

Both riders fell and suffered injuries of unspecified severity. After receiving initial medical treatment, they were taken to Villach Regional Hospital.

The Weißbriach volunteer fire brigade recovered the motorcycles and cleaned the road.
