GAK sporting director Wawra returns as Perchtold takes operational role

GAK sporting director Tino Wawra will resume full responsibility at the football club on October 1, while former captain Marco Perchtold takes over operational management, ORF reported.

Wawra took a health-related break at the beginning of August. Chief scout Andreas Lienhart, who has managed the club’s sporting affairs on an interim basis in recent weeks, will return to his previous role as head of scouting and squad planning.

Perchtold has been appointed to the newly created position of sporting executive with immediate effect as part of a structural strengthening of the club. He will be responsible for the overall sporting development of GAK, with a particular focus on the development of the youth, academy and women’s teams.
