Stone attack marks fourth vandalism incident at Salzburg FPÖ office

A stone was thrown through a window of the Freedom Party of Austria’s (FPÖ) constituency office in Schallmoos, a district of Salzburg, overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, ORF reported. No one was injured.

It was the fourth act of vandalism at the office within several months. Previous incidents involved graffiti on the building’s façades, broken windows and damage inside the office. The attacks have caused several thousand euros in damage.

The previous incident took place about three weeks ago. In a statement, the Salzburg FPÖ said the latest attack happened shortly after the damage from the previous incident had been repaired.

FPÖ Salzburg chairwoman Marlene Svazek called for all political parties to clearly distance themselves from the attacks and asked members of the public to help identify those responsible. Witnesses are being asked to come forward.
