Police evacuate school in Goldach as operation continues

St Gallen cantonal police evacuated a school in Goldach on Friday evening during a large-scale operation, SRF reported. No one was injured, and no shots were fired, a police media spokesperson said.

Police said shortly before 10.30pm that the operation was still under way. The emergency call and operations control centre had received several reports that were being verified.

The police said they could not yet provide further details. They would issue another update once confirmed information was available.

The St Galler Tagblatt reported that a celebration had been taking place at the evacuated school.
