Authorities removed 160 animals from a property in Jennersdorf district after an official veterinarian found serious deficiencies in their care, ORF reported.
The veterinarian from the district administrative authority ordered the animals removed because of an imminent danger arising from the conditions found during an inspection.
Municipal employees, accompanied by police, placed about 160 animals in transport boxes and moved them to suitable accommodation. They included hens, roosters, chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs.
