Police motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with bus

ORF reported that a police motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a Line 15A bus in Vienna’s Favoriten district on Tuesday evening.

The officer was crossing the intersection at Altes Landgut and Grenzackerstraße with the emergency lights on when the crash occurred at about 7 p.m.

The motorcyclist fell and suffered several broken bones. After receiving emergency treatment from the Vienna professional rescue service, the officer was taken to hospital.

Both vehicles were damaged. The intersection was closed while the crash was investigated, causing traffic disruptions.
