Women to compete in Four Hills Tournament for first time

Women will compete in the Four Hills Tournament for the first time this winter, ORF reported Wednesday. Tickets are now available for all venues of the 75th edition of the ski-jumping event.

In Bischofshofen in the Pongau region, the qualification days will become competition days, tournament president Manfred Schützenhofer said.

On January 4, 2027, women’s training will begin. The following day will open with men’s training, followed by the women’s event and the men’s qualification. The women’s individual competition and the men’s qualification will therefore take place on January 5, while the men’s individual event is scheduled for January 6.

The longer programme is expected to extend the days at the venue. Schützenhofer said organisers would see how this affected attendance but expected more spectators to come. The traditional Three Kings ski jumping event on January 6 in Bischofshofen will conclude the tournament.
