Vespa rider thrown over bonnet in Langen collision

A 66-year-old man was injured after his Vespa collided with a turning car on the L197 in Langen am Arlberg, ORF reported.

The man was riding towards Stuben at about 5.40am on Tuesday when a 76-year-old driver attempted to turn from Langen railway station onto the road towards Klösterle. The Vespa rider could not brake in time and struck the side of the car’s front.

The impact threw him over the bonnet and onto the road. He was taken to Feldkirch State Hospital with injuries of undetermined severity.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Neither driver was impaired.
