Drunk driver causes collision in Wals-Siezenheim

A 29-year-old driver with a blood alcohol level of 1.44 per mille caused a collision in Wals-Siezenheim, Salzburg, ORF reported. A 30-year-old man was injured.

The crash happened at about 4 a.m. on Sunday on Goiserstraße. The 29-year-old German from Bad Reichenhall was driving along the road when a 30-year-old driver from Pakistan was pulling out of a residential driveway.

The two vehicles collided, according to Salzburg police. The 30-year-old was injured, although the extent of his injuries was not specified.

Police confiscated the German driver’s licence and prohibited him from continuing his journey. He will be reported to prosecutors.
