Car and caravan collide in Lower Austria, injuring two

Two people were injured when a car collided with a caravan combination on the B18 road between Hirtenberg and St. Veit an der Triesting, both in the Baden district, overnight into Sunday, ORF reported.

The injured people were the occupants of the car. The Red Cross took them to nearby hospitals in ambulances.

The caravan was carrying a family of four from Poland. The parents and their two children were not injured.

The B18 was closed in both directions for about 90 minutes while police secured the crash scene. A police drone was used to take measurements for the investigation, and the Pottenstein road maintenance service also attended.

The exact cause of the accident is still being investigated.
