86-year-old cyclist dies after collision with car in Reichersberg

An 86-year-old cyclist died after his e-bike collided with a car in Reichersberg in the Ried district on Saturday, ORF reported. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful, and he died at the scene from his injuries.

The 19-year-old driver from the Ried im Innkreis district was travelling shortly before noon on the L522 Antiesenhofener Straße from Ort im Innkreis towards Antiesenhofen.

At Hübing in the municipality of Reichersberg, his car collided with the e-bike. According to witnesses, the cyclist was attempting to cross the road and may have failed to see the car. The impact threw him into an adjacent field.
